The hospital was established as a mixed animal practice in the early 1950's by Dr. James Harris. In 1986 the practice changed ownership and underwent an extensive remodeling program. The hospital is again experiencing exciting new changes under its present leadership to meet the healthcare needs of patients now and into the next century.
Our mission is to give your pet the best health care available with a personal, caring touch. We support this mission with a knowledgeable, compassionate staff; state of the art equipment and facilities; and highly trained and experienced doctors. Our hospital has been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Established in 1933, AAHA is well known in the veterinary field for its high standards for hospitals and pet health care. The practice also boasts the only veterinarian in southwestern Virginia to be Board Certified in Canine and Feline Practice by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.
We offer complete medical and surgical care for primarily dogs and cats. The hospital also offers expert grooming and individualized boarding to meet your pet's special needs.
