There is finally a Veterinary Emergency Center in the New River Valley. All after hours emergencies will now be handled by Town and Country Veterinary Clinic in Christiansburg. They are staffed with a Veterinarian as well as Technical staff 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Call 382-5042, if you have a veterinary emergency while we are closed.
We are pleased to announce that Radford Animal Hospital is now a supplier of Merrick and Eagle Pack Holistic cat and dog foods.

We now have a fully stocked pet boutique open inside of our hospital, with top of the line foods, toys, treats and much more! New this year are the Dog Paw Design Dresses, Jersey's and Bandannas. Come on in and have one custom made to fit your team colors.
Radford Animal Hospital offers scheduled hospital tours and presentations to local schools, civic organizations and organized groups. These tours give the children a better idea of how we care for animals and the treatment that occurs in various parts of the hospital. These tours must be scheduled in advance.

Overview
Otitis externa, commonly called an ear infection, is characterized by inflammation of the external ear canal and may be caused by yeast, bacteria or parasites. Ear infections are particularly prevalent in dogs with long, floppy ears. Otitis externa may affect 20 percent of dogs.
